Chek Jawa

Yesterday went to Gym, did some intense training, Just found out that the running track is not as nice as the school one. hahaha.

After gym, i went straight back to woodlands for ECO meeting because i'm going to Chek jawa tmr.

The Singapore-Malaysia Youth Camp was initiated in 1991. The camp aims to strengthen bilateral relations and promote friendship and mutual understanding among Singapore and Malaysia youths.

The programme is a joint project by the National Youth Council, Singapore and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia. The theme for the camp is YOUth BRIDGE IT! From Empowerment to Action.

The camp will attempt to motivate youths by assuring them that they can achieve many things, if they are willing to take the first step. Once one is empowered and galvanizes into action, he/she has the power to inspire other youths to get a movement going and achieve a common goal.

One of the programme highlights is the Institutional Visit and Forum. ECO Travel is proud to be the partnering organisation for the discussion topic of Youth & Environment. We are also honored to have Hang Chong to be with us on the day itself. Hang Chong is very passionate about the environmental movement in Singapore and he will be sharing his experience and thoughts with the participants.

He will also be the main guide for the tour around Chek Jawa. Do take this great opportunity to learn from him.As tour facilitator, you will be representing ECO Travel. The main responsibility during the trip will be taking care of the participants and also to guide them along the tour.

Thus, we will need you to do some research and readings on the history and habitats of Chek Jawa, and also the general description of Pulau Ubin.

Hope i will have fun tomorrow. (:
