So the next week was a peaceful week, nothing much happen, just hanging out with friends and of course cooking in hall 7 is being carried out by me. The second night canteen which is in Hall 7 is open by none other than Suraj Singh with the help of Kundan Kumar and Mukul Gupta.
Okay, I shall disclose the receipe of Chicken hot and sour soup here:
Ingredient:
Ek kg of Chicken from the broiler in sector 2, across Pooja Café (RS 140) if you want liver they may charge you (RS 150). Remind them to chop into pieces.
Mushroom (RS 30 per packet) can be found in the AC stall near the Hanuman Market, when you see the Hanuman Market, continue to walk down and you will see a yellow paint AC stall. They sell Mushroom there.
2 Packet of ‘knows’ brand hot and sour soup (RS 32) you can find it in the yellow paint AC stall or Mandap, if ‘Knows’ brand is not available, you can try the ‘Maggie’ brand but ‘knows’ brand is recommended.
Daniya (Coriander) (RS 5) you can get it in Hanuman Market, walk in and turn left, if there’s no daniya in that first store you see when you turn left, continue walking and turn right. Please don’t buy with the stall just beside the Hanuman statue because they double charge you.
Small Chilli (RS 5) you can get it in Hanuman Market.
Onion (RS 10) you can get it in Hanuman Market.
Steps:
First, bring clean water in the bucket and wash the mushroom.
Second, Boil the water with the mushroom for around 15-20 minutes, pour the water away and rinse the mushroom.
Third, Wash the chicken, throw away all the fats you find in the chicken, you don’t want your soup to be that oily.
Fourth, pour clean water in the pot with the chicken in it, set the current to 1000 (if you using my heater which is in Kundan kumar’s room) and wait for it to boil. Take a look out, because when it boils it may overflow. Cook the chicken around 20 minutes.
Fifth, while cooking the chicken, chop the onion to fine pieces, same goes for the chilli and Dhaniya.
Sixth, Stir the pot and check if the chicken is cook? If it’s cook, pour in the mushroom you have boiled previously. Cook it for like 5-6 minutes.
Seventh, cut open the ‘knows’ brand hot and sour soup, pour it into the pot slowly, remember to stir it when you pour the powder into the pot. Keep stiring even after you pour the two packet of ‘Knows’ brand hot and sour soup powder into the pot. Stir it for like 5-10 minutes, until the soup is like sticky and you can’t see chunks of powder stick together.
Eighth, put in the chop chilli you cut and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Ninth, put in the chop onion you chop previously, spread it around the soup and stir it into the soup. Cook for another 3 minutes.
Tenth, spread the Dhaniya you cut around the soup and switch the current to 300 (if you are using my heater) and served.
