Shanghai Cultural Exchange Interview

Yesterday went to Shanghai exchange second round of interview at PAHQ. You guys will be wondering how abt the first round? The first round there was no interview but there was internal selection. And because my chairman from Joo Chiat CC YEC recommended me, so i passed the first round.

Suppose to be at the PAHQ at 6.15pm but i reach at around 6.35pm, but it was ok, because the interview start at 6.30pm and the msg wrote that i need to be there 15mins earlier.

When reach, jing yun pass me PAYM factsheet to read, but i think i know everything le,so after flipping one or two pages i gave back to her. I was the second person to go into the interview room.

5 interviewers was seated there, i know four of them.

Janice, Tang Sun, Ying Mei and Jing Hui.

Janice was not in at first on jing hui,ying mei and Tang Sun so they started the interview first.

Tang Sun: Hi, i'm Tang Sun, we've met before (hahaha)
Ying Mei: Hi, i'm Ying Mei, we have met before too (hahahah)
Jing Hui: Hi, i'm jing hui.
Me: We've met before too.. (LOL!?!)

The interview was quite relaxing and not stressed, maybe because i know the people ba.

Tang Sun: You can first introduce yourself, then procceed to tell us why you opted for this?

Me: I'm Gary currently studying in Ngee Ann Polytechnic pursuing Diploma in Financial Informatics. Previously graduated from ITE COLLEGE CENTRAL (BISHAN campus). Why i opted for this cultural exchange because previously i was involved in Project initiate in Hainan Island. And i felt that i learn alot through the experience and exposure. So i felt that by going to this exchange i will definately learn something. And this exchange starts from 13oct-18oct 2009, and my school starts from 19 oct so i think timing wise it also suits me.

Ying Mei: So are you good in chinese?
Me: I can say so, i'm able to communicate well with chinese.

Jing Hui: You say you are working part timer, so if we need you to come back for briefing are you able to?

Me: I'm able to but have to tell me on advance, because my workplace doesn't really need me, so i'm able to.

Tang Sun: I know you previously was with project initiate, but you were handling children, this time round you will be handling people like from age 45 are you able to?

Me: Because previously i was handling children i'm also talking to the chief village and teachers so i think i'm able to.

Tang Sung: They will ask you alot of question, maybe from singapore history, economy HDB etc etc, are you able to explain well and do the research?

Me: I have time to do the research.

One of the interviewer: you know how to drink? do you drink?

Me: Yup, social.

One of the interviewer: Do you hold liquor?

Me: It's in my gene. (everybody start to laugh)

Ok, we have nothing to ask you le, thanks for coming for the interview.

Saw Angie lee at PAHQ today, they had their program breifing today. So i chatted with her abit lo. Hmm. Nth much.
