Pledge of Silence

Hi, i'm officially back. Hahaha. Didn't have the time to blog, because i was busy with alot of stuff including uploading another blog with my Shanghai photos and more.

Today is 30 October 2009, i've decided to pledge my silence. What's this silence things about?

Stigmatisation and discrimination towards person leaving with HIV/AIDS creates silence that disemplwers infected individuals. It also impedes public awareness for HIV/AIDS. The pledge of silence on 30th October 2009 will confront this silence by leading the supporters to maintain silence for 4/8/24 hours. We hope that in this silence, we will give voice to the voiceless. Other than demostrating emotional support, our supporters will also be helping us fundraise a target of $150,000 to financially support costly treatment and care.

How your donation helps?

Life long treatment and costly consultation visits for needy person living with HIV/AIDS medication for HIV-Positive mothers to give birth to HIV-negative babies. Rent, school fees, daily necessities of affected families. These are just a few of the good things your will money will be doing.

With regular medical care, AIDS is no longer a fatal diease. However, there is limited financial assistance available for anti-HIV Medication. Monthly Highly active antiretroviral therapy refers to three to four drugs taken in combination for the treatment of the HIV infection fees can run up to $1500, and is a financial burden for many affected Singaporeans.
Doners like you make it possible for them to live well.

So by now you guys should know what is POS(Pledge of silence), i've pledge my silence, have you? If you have not, you can approach us to donate a minimum of $2 for the help of others.
